Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Griffon Roller Coaster at Busch Gardens Europe in WilliamsburgYou'll want to spend at least one day in the most beautiful amusement park in the United States, Busch Gardens Williamsburg.  Covering 350 acres, this gardener's delight also offers 35 spectacular rides, live shows, gourmet restaurants and specialty shops.  Special area for the under seven set with dragons galore and pint sized rides and coasters.

Busch Gardens boasts its newest ride "The Griffon", one of the fastest and tallest roller coaters in the World.  This awesome coaster is 205 feet tall and has a 90 degree drop straight down at 70 mph. The Griffon Roller Coaster just opened last year on May 25th, 2007.  Busch Gardens theme park also offers a wide variety of games, shows & other fun rides for the whole family, along with delicious foods & live entertainment for children and adults of all ages. The Busch Gardens theme park is currently closed and will re-open on March 26th, 2010.

Water Country USA Williamsburg

williamsburg attractionsNearby Virginia Beach has the sand, but for plenty of wet and wild fun visit Water Country, U.S.A.  Get wet at one of the largest mid-Atlantic water parks, Water Country U.S.A. This huge water park offers 30 water rides, including a wave pool, high diving entertainment, restaurants and souvenir & clothing shops. 

Kiddy pools available for the small ones with shaded lounge areas for Mom and Dad. Water Country USA theme park is currently closed and will re-open on May 22nd, 2010.

 

Jamestown Settlement

Located about 10 minutes from historic colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown is a unique recreation of the 17th century, complete with three full scale replicas of sailing vessels dating to 1607.  Don't miss this opportunity to experience the beginning of our adventurous past. Open daily from 9am to 5pm.

 

Historic Yorktown

yorktown virginiaYorktown Virginia is a small town with many years of significance to our American History. In 1781 George Washington led his troops into battle and won the American Revolutionary War. Lord Corn Wallis surrendered his army on Oct 19, 1781 to the American and French allies.

Yorktown today is a part of the Historical Triangle and offers many different museums, colonial homes and a very scenic river front view, on Water Street. You will find small shops and dining along with 100's of years of History in Yorktown, Virginia. Open daily from 9am to 5pm.
